We’re all people who have learnt languages and seen our lives improve radically as a result. Additionally, the whole team have, in different countries and cultures, in different languages, for different reasons, taken that plunge into a new reality that learning and living in another language brings. And we all loved it!
That’s why we’ve made it our life’s work. And, in each case…how we make our lives work!

Mike
Founder of Languages Collective, Mike has worked with a huge range of companies over the past 20 years (small / large/ start-ups and well established) helping to give employees greater confidence in expressing themselves in a second language. He specialises in Business English & also teaches French and Spanish with C1 proficiency in both.
Living in London, a newly qualified Daddy, he loves walking, playing guitar and reading
Spanish Teacher
Ruth
Ruth is a qualified Spanish teacher with a Certificate in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from International House and the DTLLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector). After 12 years in Brixton, London she came back to sunny Spain where she completed an MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
In her words “I love teaching Spanish so much that it hardly feels like a job. I also love yoga, cycling and reading”
French Teacher
Marlyse
Marlyse teaches both French and English and is qualified to do both. Before her teaching life began she worked in the world of post-production in the film industry. She particularly enjoys interacting with her students and giving them the tools to express themselves.
In her words, “I love to help my students achieve fluency and ease”
Marlyse also loves cycling, yoga & dancing.
